Franky Andreas is really a force to be reckoned with – Aaron Yurkiewicz, metal-rules.com

Franky is a talented and patient instructor. His strength as a guitar and music teacher is his versatility. While he is known for metal playing and sweep picking, he is equally adept at teaching all styles and applying fundamentals of music theory across different musical settings. Depending on my mood I would ask him to teach me more about jazz, blues, country, fusion, r and b, slide and rock and I always got worthwhile tips from him that I could put into use in live and jam settings. He particularly helped build my confidence in improvising and helped me to think through difficult to navigate chord changes in a logical and functional way. He even helped me develop excellent walking bass lines prior to a couple of shows I played on bass at the Burlington jazz fest. He is able to break down complex concepts in an understandable way for his students which is a hallmark of a good teacher in any field. Franky is a great teacher not only for intermediate and advanced players but also for beginners. I referred one of my friends to him for lessons and he helped not only his rhythm and chops but also his confidence. I would give Franky my highest recommendation as a guitar and music instructor. I have been taking guitar lessons from Franky Andreas for over 3 years.  I started playing guitar at an older age (59).  I am a bit slower than the younger students but Franky is exceptionally patient and encouraging.  He is very open to the things I would like to learn and provides some very well thought out feedback.  I feel my biggest weakness is with timing and rhythm. Franky has worked patiently on that front.  Not only has he taught me how to play better, he has taught me different technical aspects of the guitar: proper tuning, neck relief, the different ways guitars are constructed and how that affects the sound, types of amplifiers and amplifier construction, and the different guitar manufacturers both acoustic and electric.  With his help I was able to build a Les Paul style guitar. Franky has also been very helpful in my understanding of music theory.  As an electrical engineer I find the subject fascinating and I am greatly impressed with Franky’s knowledge. It is clear to me he has a diverse and professional background in music and it has been a pleasure taking lessons from him. Keith Hanf (Burlington, Vermont)
